Building a high-performing climate capable board

Hobson Leavy, one of Chapter Zero New Zealand’s foundation partners are hosting an evening event to facilitate a conversation on building high-performing climate capable boards and the evolving skillset required for directors (and CEOs).

Please join our panel of experienced directors, Laurissa Cooney CMInstD, Mark Cross CFInstD and Bridget Coates CFInstD to discuss a number of key themes including:

  • The need for directors to respond to climate issues and lead the transformation of their organisations;
  • What good talent looks like in a climate-changed future, and how we can prepare for it;
  • How boards can review and assess their skills and collective climate competency;
  • CEO and chair succession planning to ensure smooth leadership transitions and continuity of climate strategy;
  • Are NZ corporates now under pressure to reverse track on climate change initiatives due to changing global politics?

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session facilitated by Managing Partner Stephen
Leavy, and there will be opportunities to network throughout.

IoD Members may self-log 2 CPD points for attending this event.
